Antonius Angermeyer - 19th and 20th Century Painters

-

A Central European still-life painter from the first half of the 18th century. Hana Seifertová suggests that he may be identical with the painter who signed his works A. Angermayer (Angermeyer) and whose paintings are similar to the still lifes of his relative (?) Johann Adalbert (Albert) Angermayer (Billin 1674–Prague 1740). A. Angermayer’s works are a little clumsier and larger than the majority of Johann Adalbert’s pictures.

Lit.: Zeri & Rozman, 1989, p. 65.
