Become part of the tradition of protecting the art heritage!

By establishing the Friends of the National Gallery we wished to revive the tradition of the Society established in as early as 1918. It is our wish for the future of the institution to be even more prolific, the collections to be even richer, and your children to be directly introduced to the richness of the Slovene art heritage. We invite you to become, or indeed remain, a member of the Society and enjoy this time full of expectation on the eve of the Gallery’s centenary.

As a Fiend of the National Gallery, you will combine your contribution with a number of individuals, companies and institutions, helping us to maintain and promote Slovene art. The National Gallery sometimes also appoints honorary members, their titles being awarded for outstanding merit.

By paying an annual membership fee, an individual member receives: a membership card, free admission to the Gallery’s permanent collections, free admission to temporary exhibitions, events programme, invites to the openings of exhibitions, 10% discount on the purchase of publications by the National Gallery of Slovenia, discount on the purchase of tickets for the Harmony of the Spheres concerts, discount on art excursions, free admission to professional courses and guided tours. The membership card is valid for one year from the date of issue.
