The National Gallery of Slovenia is once again hosting the most important national overview of design production that is organized by the Brumen Foundation. The exhibited works in the National In 2017, the Brumen Foundation is organising the 8th Biennial of Slovenian Design, a two-year retrospective of the best Slovenian production of visual communications.
The retrospective exhibition represents a selection of the finest works chosen by the esteemed jury of the 8th Brumen Biennial, whose members are Felix Pfäffli (Switzerland), Paula Troxler (Switzerland), Jaime Serra (Spain), Kurt Glänzer (Austria) and Henrik Kubel (United Kingdom). The jury will also select the recipients of the Brumen Awards, the highest national awards in the field of design, from among the qualifying works.
The award ceremony will take place in the National Gallery of Slovenia on 24 October 2017 at 7 pm and will be followed by the opening of the retrospective exhibition, which will be on display at the National Gallery of Slovenia until 30 November 2017.

The Brumen Foundation was founded in 2003 and represents a non-profit organisation declared by the Slovenian Ministry of Culture to be in the public interest. Its main objective is the promotion of high-quality visual communications and generating public awareness of the importance of the latter. The Foundation has organised over 40 events, lectures and exhibitions, among which the seven Biennials feature prominently.
