Discovering Gallery Treasures
Printed excerpt will act as your guide in looking for the right painting in the National Gallery of Slovenia, and drawing in the missing parts. There will be a prize at the end!

Memory
You will be looking for pairs of paintings and drawings by Kavčič, which are presented in the temporary exhibition.

Dr. Fig, Fig: Children's Workshop
Through the paintings in the Art in Slovenia permanent collection, children will embark on a fun journey of discovery, and learn about the life of poet France Prešeren. A sweet surprise awaits at the end of the activity!

Franc Kavčič/Caucig, Paintings for the Palais Auersperg in Vienna: guided tour by Kristina Preininger

Art in Slovenia: guided tour by Tina Ponebšek

Art in Slovenia: guided tour in English lead by Katarina Mohar

2 pm
The Melodies of Kavčič's Paintings: Children's Workshop
We shall set out to discover the secrets of Kavčič's paintings in the temporary exhibition. We will make a lyre in the workshop, which we will also play.

4 pm
The Biedermeier Portrait – Finish the Painting: Children's Workshop
Printed excerpts will act as a guide in searching for the portraits of the ladies that used to live and create in Prešeren’s time. We will be using wool to give the ladies new hairstyles.

The Restored Gothic Winged Altar from Britof on the Idrija River, ca. 1530: presentation by Mojca Jenko, MA

Impressionism in Slovenia – exhibition announcement: guided tour by Andrej Smrekar, PhD

Oscar Niemeyer: lecture by Prof. Janez Koželj
