Access

Where we are
The National Gallery is located opposite the Opera House and opposite the Orthodox Church of Sts Cyril and Methodius, next to Tivoli Park. It is surrounded by four streets, Cankarjeva, Prešernova, Puharjeva and Prežihova. The main entrance is at 24 Prešernova Street.

Parking
Paid parking spaces are available in the surroundings of the gallery. The nearest large public car park is in Tivoli Park, just a few minutes' walk away, which is accessed via an underpass with an exit just in front of the Gallery.

Public transport
The National Gallery of Slovenia is in close proximity to the city centre and Slovenska cesta, which is served by almost all city buses.

Access for people with reduced mobility
The Gallery is equipped with ramps and lifts. For wheelchair users, the exhibition building is accessible from the main entrance at Prešernova cesta 24, where there is also a doorbell to open the door.

Wheelchair users can move independently around the Gallery and exhibition spaces on all floors. Access to the permanent exhibition of Zoran Mušič on the ground floor and to the basement exhibition space of the Narodni dom Gallery requires the assistance of museum attendants.

The administration building is also accessible for people with reduced mobility.

Toilet facilities
The toilet facilities are suitable for people with reduced mobility.
