Within the framework of the exhibition Baroque in Slovenia, as part of training
and workshops in the Costume and Mask Class under the mentorship of assistant
professor Tina Kolenik, MA, and assistant Nina Čehovin, second-year students of
Stage Acting, Theatre Directing, and Dramaturgy and Performing Arts at the
Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television undertook to interpret the
paintings The Card Players I and Card Players II by the Baroque painter
Joannes Almenak. For this purpose, they created complex costumes in a
modernized Baroque style, took photographs of themselves wearing them, thus
becoming immersed in the characters of the convivial card players.
