10.00: Towards the Sun (in Slovene)
Public tour of the Realist and Impressionist art, led by Ferdinand Šerbelj.

10.45: Reveille for Gal
Together with Gal's Club members we will visit two exquisite portraits and two impressive landscapes in the permanent collection. At each stop we will listen to performances by young musicians from Franc Šturm Music School in Ljubljana:

12.00: Gal Puts His Pictures on Parade
The opening of exhibition of children's works and a concert by Franc Šturm Music School String Orchestra I and Wind Orchestra II:

13.00: Gal's Green Reception
Snacks prepared according to Gal's recipes and his favourite fruit will invigorate children. Then you are invited to walk through the permanent collection and find Gal's snacks in the paintings, too.

13.30, 14.00, 14.30, 15.00: Discover Books in Paintings with Gal
Children and parents are invited to join Gal's holiday walk through the permanent collection. On this day books in paintings are in the forefront. A surprise awaits all art detectives who solve Gal's riddles.

14.00–18.00: Gal's Book Workshop
We will make, bind and decorate our own books. We will also provide them with content; we will write down and illustrate Gal's adventures.

10.00–18.00 Books in Paintings
Children are invited to use printed cut-outs to find paintings that depict books. Children who complete the drawings will receive a bookmark.

15.00: Public Tour of the Permanent Collection (in Slovene)
Led by Nataša Kovačič.

16.00: Concert by String Orchestra II in Wind Orchestra I, Franc Šturm Music School

17.00: Revelations – The Sculptor Franc Berneker and the Vidic Family (in Slovene)
Curators Mateja Breščak and Alenka Simončič will present some Berneker's portraits of the Vidic family. Franc Vidic was a literary historian and translator, who was the first to translate Prešeren's Poems to German and donated the profit for the erection of Prešeren Monument in Ljubljana.

On this holiday the entrance is free of charge! The gallery souvenirs, publications and gift program are discounted by up to 50 per cent.
