4th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communication

and 4th International Design Event

4th Biennial of Slovene Visual Communication

This specialised event provides a biennial overview of visual communication. All works are reviewed by a panel of Slovene judges and while some are rejected, those more relevant are selected to be shown at the Biennial exhibition where they are judged by an international jury composed of this year’s guests of the International Design Event.

The jury awards one award in each category and singles out a work that meets all the criteria of international excellence to honour it with the highest national award – the Brumen Grand Prix for the best visual message of Slovenia.

4th International Design Event

The Event presents the leading international theoreticians and practitioners of visual communication. Tradition has it that they take on two roles – as lecturers and exhibitors – giving visitors an insight into their techniques, thoughts and creative processes. This year’s guests are Peter Bilak, Andrzej Klimowski, Abbott Miller, Mark Porter, Alan Záruba.

The Event overlaps with the 4th Biennial of Slovenian Visual Communication to provide a platform for direct comparison of the criteria, perceptions and achievements of Slovene and international design production.
