Gallery at Your Fingertips invites visitors to
explore art beyond sight, using touch, sound, and other senses to discover
selected works from the National Gallery collection. The exhibition presents
tactile reproductions, 3D-printed details, audio descriptions, a tactile
painting, and a model of the Prešeren Monument, making art more accessible to
blind and partially sighted visitors. At the same time, it encourages all
visitors to experience artworks in new ways and to reflect on different forms
of perception. Contemporary 3D technologies play an important role in
transforming visual artworks into tactile experiences that communicate shapes,
textures, and spatial relationships. Through these adaptations, the exhibition
reveals how art can be translated, interpreted, and understood through multiple
senses.
